The count down begins....4 days to go

Alice in Wonderland is my favourite childhood film and I can't wait to see it as soon as its out on the 5th March. I can’t wait to see what wonders Tim Burton pulls out of the bag....I am refusing to watch the trailers.

I loved avatar in 3D so I think this ...I hope..will be incredible

I dont care what the weather man says........

Right it is officially spring ....but the weather here in the UK is not, with far to much wind and rain!!!

The shops are rammed full of little pretty floral’s, pastels, crop tops, shorts and playsuits.

So I have decided I am dressing for spring now ... and I am just going to brave the cold.

I dont care what the weather man says.....if the weather man says its raining

Sorting my life out

5 things I did today:
-I went to Uni for a magazine meeting
-I spent hours flicking through blogs and magazines for shoot inspiration
- Ate a palma ham, rocket baguette in PrĂȘt to cure a hangover
- I got distracted by far to much Television…… Skins, Katie Price, Glee
-Booked off lots of paid holiday at work today ( hello ££)
-Spent to long on the phone …even though I have run out of minutes

things on my to do list:
-Look for models for editorial shoots
-Smile more this week.
-Apply for some fashion internships.
-Email all contacts/designers to source clothes for 3rd Floor editorials
-Read the ever growing pile of magazines in my room … I swear I have no time anymore

4 of my guiltiest pleasures:
-Biscuits at the moment ….Chocolate fingers, Hobnobs… a pack of biscuits replacing meals is not good
- Spending hours looking on Topshop, Asos….planning my new wardrobe
-Wasting my time on my phone ….texting , bbm and long phone calls ,big distraction!!
-Dream of things instead of try to realize them.

5 random facts about me:
-I love day time television
-I sometimes wish I was a heroine who leads a live full of adventure
-I am way to shy sometimes ….and other times I don’t know when to shut up
-I am a very hard worker
-I find it hard to rely on other people…if you want something doing …do it yourself

The most exciting thing is in less than 70 days I will have finished uni and the adventure begins <3

but for now

WORK WORK WORK!!!

This image sums up my average day of uni work...pjs...shit food....laptop

3rd Floor Publication in the making

I am working as the fashion editor and stylist for 3rd Floor Magazine

The third issue will be out in May and I am so excited to get shooting

Most projects always start off slowly, and our case was no exception. However, things are really starting to pick up the pace now. We are cracking on with planning shoots, researching articles and setting up interviews. Things are really looking positive.
We meet regularly as a team, and have acknowledged the best way to communicate our ideas are with the use of presentations, brainstorms, mood boards and displaying cut outs of inspiration.

If you go down to the woods today, Topshop A/W 2010

I am totally in love with Topshop Unique's new collection by far my fav at fashion week so far. This has really inspired me to do a shoot with animal instincts!!

In true Topshop style, the whole collection had an infectious, wildly fun feel. Girl Guide inspired award badges had been stitched onto army-style pencil skirts, while old- fashioned pyjama-esqe striped cotton trousers and shirts continued the idea of a camping trip in the wilderness. Some pieces even had girls' names stitched into them, should you forget what your mum packed in your backpack!

With the Brownie motto 'Be Prepared' in mind, outerwear had a protective, functional, yet totally irresistible feel. Battered leather parkas, oversized duffle coats, and trenches with reversed sheepskin linings came in mossy shades and looked like they’d been designed to defend you against the elements.

The sumptuous faux fur teddy bear coat that was reminiscent of a grizzly bear had the photographers’ in a snapping frenzy and is sure to be on everybody's new season wish list! Layered over berry coloured corduroy tailoring, dark checks, and woolen military-esque box jackets and high-waist shorts, this was not your usual country girl look!

Newgen exhibition at London Fashion Week

One thing that really caught my eye at London fashion week was the Newgen area.

Newgen sponsored by Topshop, established in 1993, is one of the world's most internationally recognised talent indentification schemes.

Here are some of the collections that really stood out

Holly Fulton

Within her work, bold, hand-drawn graphic prints combine with signature embellishment in perspex, Swarovski crystal, exotic skins and metal, to create the feel of one giant collaged form of jewellery, adorned with statement necklaces and accessories to complete the look.

Fannie Schiavoni

Renowned for her original signature chain accessories, Fannie's focus is on durable, hard wearing materials and distinctive designs. She works with muted colours to keep focus on shape and design.

Peter Pilotto

Peter Pilotto's vision of womenswear embraces both new and classic perspectives on elegance. Otherworldly prints combine with soft sculptural shapes to form the handwriting of the design duo.

London Fashion Week- Day 1 19/2/2010

I was really lucky to attend London fashion week as the stylist for 3rd Floor Publication. I had a fantastic day and met so many wonderful people. I would love to thank all the members of the British Fashion Council who were so welcoming.

The tickets I received

Paul Costelloe's A/W 2010 show was the first to touch down on the London runway this morning, with a collection dominated by dark and Gothic imagery, and a touch of super-heroine chic. Costelloe has presented the opening show for the past five seasons, with collections that often set the tone for the week's events

It was beyond amazing!! The collection was infused with the 19th century period dark western overtones with a contemporary twist. The collection had elements of nostalgic futuristic fashion. The Paul Costelloe A/W 2010 collection saw Long, lean and mean cigarette trousers teamed with structure- heavy jackets are reminiscent of envisioned future fashion, typified by metallic tones with leather detailing and architectural elegance.
